1、首先，我们要从思想上加以重视。英语这科的重要性大家都很清楚。我们千万别以为英语在小学里是豆芽科，到了初中反正都要学，抱着这种态度的话，我们的孩子是必然学不好的。现在很多地方都从小学、甚至幼儿园就开始开设英语课，也足以知道英语的重要。你的孩子要等到到了初中才开始学的话，就实在太晚了。你从思想上重视了，再把这种思想传达给孩子，相信孩子们会比现在更认真的。
2、我们可以想想我们的孩子是怎样学会说话的，只要不是聋子，不是哑巴的孩子能顺利地学会说话吧，所以我们有必要帮助孩子克服畏难情绪，告诉他/她：英语跟我们的汉语一样，没有什么大不了的，只要多听、多读、多记，每个人都能学会，让他们能放松心情学英语。
3、对于知识而言，老师自然会教，我们作为家长所要做的，就是帮助孩子养成良好的学习习惯，这一点在小学里面尤其重要，这样做的后果是你会省很多的心。培养一个好的习惯大约花去你一个月的宝贵时间，但是，你从此以后就不会再陪读了，就等着收取你培养了好习惯的 “ 利息 ”吧。
英语学习习惯从下面几个方面来培养：
⑴：我们知道：凡事预则立。让孩子制定一份英语科学习计划出来，比如每天什么时候听英语录音，什么时候读英语。每周什么时候课前预习英语，什么时候课后复习。有了一个切实可行的时间表，相信孩子们做起来会更容易的。当然光有计划还不行，计划制定出来后，我们就应该督促孩子认真执行。
⑵：督促孩子多听录音。这是学好英语的先决条件。我们知道我们之所以能轻松学会汉语，是因为我们周围的人都讲汉语，有足够的语言环境。但英语缺少的就是语境，所以必须多听。这是学好英语最简单、最有效、也是最廉价的方式了。顺便问一下，我们的孩子学习英语，家长朋友们为孩子准备了听的工具了吗?比如录音机、磁带，或是更好一些的工具，比如复读机或是点读机、学习机等。我们都知道要想马儿跑得快，又要马儿不吃草是不可能的。所以如果你连孩子的学习英语的工具都没有准备好的话，就别抱怨孩子英语学得不好了。现在我们很多人都只有一个孩子，为孩子做一点长远的投资是非常必要的。
⑶：帮助孩子听写英语书后面46页、47页单词表里的单词，你就算念不出英语也没关系，直接念汉语就可以了。你可以根据孩子的实际情况，每天让孩子听写至少5个单词，对于学习优秀的孩子，最好能一次听写一个模块的单词。
⑷：督促孩子背课文，对我们已经学习过的课文，回家至少读3遍，对于好学生，最好能背诵。这个对于培养孩子的英语语感很有帮助。
⑸：督促孩子认真完成英语练习册。一般说来，每学完一个模块，就应该做完一个模块的作业。
⑹：对于孩子的英语科半期、期末试卷，家长一定要抽空看看，最好能签字，以帮助孩子找出自己存在的问题，想办法解决问题。

作为一名五年级学生的家长，想必您时常为孩子的学业问题操心，作为英语老师，我也盼望着与您多多交流，共同探讨孩子成才的问题。我想先来谈谈学习英语的重要性1.英语是当今世界上主要的国际通用语言这一，也是世界上最广泛使用的语言。2。随着我国对外开放的不断扩大化,科学技术的不断进步,国际地位的不断提高,迫切需要造就一大批精通外语的专门人才。3.信息高速公路“互联网”信息近80%是由英语承载，许多技术性质和科学性质文献资料都是采用英文书写。英语学不好，在今后的社会中就难以立足。就目前而言五年级的英语教材与初中英语教材是配套的，这就意味着：现在的英语成绩不仅直接影响孩子的升学，还影响着孩子将来的英语学习!接下来我给家长介绍一下我们五年级学生的一些情况。总的来说，有一部分的同学还可以，但是多数同学的基础很不扎实，有的三年级的入门就没入好，还有的一知半解，个别的孩子甚至拼读、书写、背诵等学习英语的好习惯还没有很好的养成。一个根本的原因是对英语学习不够重视，再就是没有好的方法。针对以上特点，我将在今后的教学中，加强英语的基础知识教学，从字母的.正确发音书写到一些基本的单词和句型，都要从头学起。我想努力给孩子们重建一套牢固的英语知识体系，但是这不是一件容易的事，也不是一件能一蹴而就的事。这需要家长们的帮助和支持。首先我们家长要充分重视孩子的英语学习，要知道英语成绩直接关系孩子们在学校和将来走上社会以后的竞争力。一只木桶能盛多少水，是由最短的一块木板决定的。不要让英语成为孩子们最短的木板。老师的辛勤付出，学生的努力，家长的重视与督促，三方结合，我们的英语学习一定大有起色，前途光明。
五年级的教材难度较大，要求也上了几个台阶。细心的家长可能就会发现，五年级的课本和四年级的课本相比，无论是从词汇量，语法还是课文篇幅的长短都有了明显的区别，四年级的内容相当简单，它简直就是三年级知识的巩固，稍微有所延伸，而五年级一下子就接触并需要掌握两种时态。所以，有些同学很不能适应，四年级学得轻松，还考好成绩，怎么到了五年级就不行了，这样的现象很普遍，说到底，还是好的习惯没有养成，不够勤奋。希望家长能够配合老师，把孩子的成绩抓上去。社会形势决定了英语学科的重要性，请各位家长务必重视英语这一学科，你们思想上重视了，无形中也给孩子以熏陶，重视与不重视肯定是完全不同的。我坚信：如果您的孩子在您的支持和老师的指导下能够及时完成老师布置的任务，那么一定能学好。要教导您的孩子一要有吃苦耐劳的精神。坚持严谨的学习作风，成绩马上就会见效。
在英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象，学生认为自己常常被老师提问，认为自己能够回答老师的问题，于是认为自己的英语学得很不错，自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授
新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。
那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢?英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言，大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。
首先说一下听，每个学生都有和书相配套的磁带，可是请各位家长检查一下自己的子女的英语磁带，有多少学生的磁带还是和刚发的时候一样的，根本就没有听过。不要说另外买什么英语听力磁带或者英语学习的碟片了，连自己手头的磁带都不去听，光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说，而说白了，学了英语就是要说，那不是白学了么?听录音机跟读，目的应该是两种，一种同学是上课没有完全消化，听录音是补充学习的过程，另外一种是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力，要学生尽力地去模仿录音机里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。我确信：英语要学好和智商无关，学不好英语的人都是懒惰的人
接下来是说，英语是一门语言，学了就是要说，要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语，要让每个学生学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生，激发他们说英语的积极性，大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多，对每个人来说，说的机会就少。所以下课也要说;放学回家也要说。在学校，我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去，这样有更真实的情景，更能让学生有发挥的余地。在家里，希望家长也能鼓励学生说英语，也许你会说你自己也听不懂，请不要这样想，其实学生需要是你的鼓励，你听了他们说的只要简单表扬一句，他们就会很满足了。有时候你们也可以不懂装懂，或者还可以让学生反过来教你，他们会觉得很自豪，因为自己所学得派上了用场。
接下来是读。有句话：“读书破万卷，下笔如有神。”学英语也是这样，很多家长也明白，学英语要培养语感，也就是语言的感觉，如果有很好的语感，那么不管是说话，做题目，还是写文章，都很轻松，很简单了。那么语感怎么来呢?就是靠读出来的。一定要让学生养成每天读英语的习惯，这是学英语的最基本的学习习惯了。每天早上一定要读20分钟左右的英语，并且每天都坚持，绝不因任何原因间断。无论什么事情都贵在坚持嘛。如果你的子女还没有养成这样的学习习惯，请你一定要督促他，刚开始也许会比较难，时间久了，就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样，要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。最后我想和各位家长共同分享一句名言：播种一种行为，收获一种习惯；播种一种习惯，收获一种性格；播种一种性格，收获一种命运。给孩子打下铜底铁帮的江山，不如送他一生都受用不尽的好品德好习惯。养成凡事追求卓越的好习惯，成功就变成自然而然的事情。

A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. 今年，进入了关键的五年级，每位同学和家长都能充分感受到五年级的英语学习压力。家长 们留心注意会发现英语的课文由简单的对话变为较长篇幅的短文，单词较多，也有了更多的语法知识。五年级的英语学习，在整个小学阶段处于一个绝对的主导作用，对学生英语学习的要求发生了质的变化，也许您的孩子在三四年级的时候，英语学习不用花功夫，也能考40以上。但是现在如果孩子依然是只凭上课听听，回家不读不记，那么英语成绩将会出现下滑现象。学生们都是在同一起跑线上起跑的，经过五年来的英语学习，学生与学生之间已经拉开了差距。一些好的学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，课堂上积极思维，踊跃发言，课后及时巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。他们的学习习惯好，在听、说、读、写方面都能齐头并进，我为他们感到欣慰。可也有一些学生，平时学习马虎，基础不扎实，功亏一篑，导致他们现在课上听讲出现困难，作业拖拉不完成，背诵课文的作业根本不做，如此一来，学习自然成了件头痛事，麻烦事。
今天就借此机会让各位家长看一下孩子们的默写本，这些默写作业是每节课前五分钟必做环节，以此来检查孩子们对于上一节课的知识掌握情况。对于班上大部分孩子，默写本上基本会出现一至三处的错误，希望家长们能从中找出孩子存在的不足，督促孩子制定今后的学习努力方向。本学期开学至今，班级的学习气氛很浓，英语成绩较之上学期又有了一定的进步。英语这门学科和语数不一样的地方在于它的灵活多变性，它的题型可以千变万化，但它的变化总是建立在一个不变的基础上的，那就是这些基础知识：单词，短语，句型。一旦基础的东西掌握了，不管它怎么变，万变不离其宗。 接下来请各位家长 和我一起看一下本次的英语期中测试
相信各位家长看了孩子们的英语默写本和期中试卷后一定能够发现他们在英语学习中存在的不足。我希望家长能了解孩子们的英语学习要求，从而帮助和指导自己的孩子在家有效开展英语学习，使孩子们能够在后半学习的学习中能取得最佳的成绩，以实现家长 、孩子、老师三者共同的心愿。本学期的英语学习要求主要有以下三个方面：
1.默写的内容：书后单词表中蓝色单词、课文中老师要求划的短语、以及C、D部分的句型。
2.背诵的内容：每单元A部分课文, C、D部分句型，以及老师要求抄的 笔记及每课的语法知识
3.要求练习的内容：《牛津小学英语 练习与测试》和每天的家庭作业。
英语学习贵在坚持，听、说、读、写，四个方面缺一不可，课后的复习和巩固尤为重要，所以希望家长在家中积极配合老师的英语教学，及时了解孩子的学习情况，督促孩子坚持每天读英语，按时完成老师布置的作业。在此我希望各位家长 能做到以下两点：
1、家长 定期检查孩子的作业本，特别是默写本，关心孩子的学习情况，并督促孩子及时改错。
2、每个周末家长 定时复习笔记，英语笔记的内容是精华部分，是重要知识点，语法点。考试前读一读、认真复习，会有事半功倍的效果。
作为教师 我们一定会尽最大的努力来教好每一位孩子，同时我们也真诚的希望能够得到您的支持和配合。我们每一位英语老师要带三个班的英语课，关注近180个孩子的英语学习，工作量是很大的，相比而言我们力量是微小的，有了您的加入，才能形成家校联合的强大力量。

I am Baohe River，a happy river . I have many friends :animals，trees，and lovely children . Everyday we play together . Children swim. The animals sing . All of us are very happy and we are never tired .
But one day，a big factory was built near my body . The birds and the fish had to move their houses，because of the dirty water and heavy smoke. My friends went away. I was so sad.
Some years later. People woke up. They began to know that clean water is so important. Little by little，I found I was clean again . Now the water is clean and green . The air is fresh，too . There are many fish in the river . And there are some bridges over the river . Rainbow Bridge is very beautiful. I love her very much . look！All my friends come back again . I’m very happy again .

Once again，the summer vacation，I went to the United Kingdom. Where I see a lot of the city，this afternoon I have friends with the British dialogue in English，but also know a lot of knowledge of English，they also compliment away一extra-curricular knowledge of the English book.
I have often in the Monday and Tuesday，when listening to English tapes，one is 3 hours. Also frequently used sentence patterns learned review again，I learned to feel very proud.
The book in English class after school，but also extra-curricular English book out to read，every time I think: if these extra-curricular English read the end，learned that their English，reading and writing is not improved. Therefore，I，day and night，every day，reading，really English results improved reading and writing，I am more proud of.
I know that Rome was not built in a day. I believe that through continuous efforts to learn，one day，I can speak English very well.
