it is a fact that stress really exists in the word. how to do with ourselves when stress suddenly breaks into our life? wave the white flag, give up, or just want to suicide as to put an end to everything … of cause not. we should try our best to release ourselves, such as to do sports, to take a rest and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges .it’s no use crying over spilt milk. only to accept what has happened can solve the problem.

the story of an aging, life-long fisherman who attempts to find himself, and hopefully a fish, on a fishing trip in the gulf waters off cuba.

after spending most of his life alone and losing his only companion who is a young cuban boy, the old man heads out to sea once again.

his 84 days without a notable catch end on this trip, but will he be able to defeat the odds after catching a gigantic marlin?

this short novel is universal in its consideration of the plight of an old man struggling against age, loneliness, mortality, humility and poverty to maintain his identity and dignity. apart from that, the cheerful and optimistic old man wants to reestablish his reputation in the community. besides, he also wants to ensure for all time his relationship with those he loves and to whom he hopes to paon everything he values the most. finally, he survives and wins the battle. this has shown his heroic struggle not only redeems himself but also inspires and spiritually enriches those around him.

a common concept among some people is that opportunities are few. they always complain that opportunities never occur to them. they only admire those people who make a hit or succeed by seizing some opportunities, and always wonder why they are never given a good opportunity to show their talent.

another common notion is that there are opportunities everywhere. opportunity may occur to anybody at any time and under any circumstances as long as he/she keeps ma-ki-ng constant efforts. as a student, you can get to the top through your hard work. as a businessman, you can succeed through accurate calculation and with a complete certainty that you can make a profit.

in my opinion, opportunity favors only those who keep trying and who are ready for it. as the saying goes "god helps those who help themselves", so no matter whether there's opportunity or not, what we should do is to study, to learn and become learned people, only in this way can you seize your opportunity when it occurs. so never say there's no opportunity again, opportunities are around us.

看来我是蟾蜍-蟾蜍想吃天鹅肉，他有妄想症。我拖着沉重的脚步，走到教练的面前吞吞吐吐地说：“教练，我，我不想学了。

我跟本就不是打乒乓球的料。”教练听了，语重心长地对我说：“世界上没有任何一样东西是人生下来就会的，所有的成功背后都是血和汗水。

”听了教练的话，沮丧的我还是低着头，含着泪与教练告别了。我分明感受到身后教练的那种失望和无奈，可我真没有信心练下去了。在路上，我想起了一些成年人聊天时说的话：

学东西很多的时候是要靠天份的……于是，我自己问自己：我有天份吗?这么多天的练习，分事实明在残酷的告诉我，我没这个天份。

though we enjoy the life, it don’t mean we waste anything. we still be saving and care about family. we will learn the excellent quality of our parents and develop our own character.

the problem will never end untill we face it. people are facing many problems each day, no matter big or **all. maybe the hard questions on the test; the job that someone else toke before you did; friendship; love; or maybe you fall on the ground and your knee starts to bleed.

we all are facing problems. but we don't stop ourselves because of that. maybe now wr are living tough.

but if we believe in ourselves, trust ourselves that we can make our way to a bright future, we will eventally get our way though, and a whole new path way will be laying infront of our eyes.

i enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation(准备). but life in the university is not as satisfactory（满意） as what i had expected. i be***e lazy and don't want to study.

Life is a process of growing up. Saying goodbye to childhood, we step into another important time of life‘the youth’.However, who can really say what the youth is ? A period of time? A belief？ An attitude to life? Or anything else? We don’t know.

As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .Don’t let the limited time pass by, leaving nothing of significance to our future. Actually, youth has a lot to do with our future. It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future to come. So, what should we do? Here ,I’ll point out some tips to help equip ourselves

First of all, recognize the direction of your future. In other word, think of what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor ? A writer? Don’t afraid of thinking big and great .Since you are young , you can dream of doing anything and becoming anyone in the future

What’s more , never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books and travel around. For one thing, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden your horizon.

【挑战与机遇】

世上无难事，只怕有心人；贵有恒，何必三更灯火五更鸡，最无益，莫过一日暴十寒。我理解这些格言的道理：用心一处，不要蜻蜓点水。

07年，是挑战的一年。年初我参加了地名采集工作，从没有外业知识；更没有接触过地形图；各种图示、符号代表什麽？到我通过自己的努力，刻苦钻研；虚心好学的精神，完成中心的地名信息采集任务。精通了外业知识和实践经验，完成了我人生的挑战自我。只有做好每一件工作，才能创造价值。这就是用心一处，不要蜻蜓点水的道理。

8月20日，我又投入到地名录入的工作，录入工作非常枯燥和繁琐：有点位、单位名称、单位地址和相对应的统一编码。全凭录入技巧来加快速度和提高准确度。软件没用过，我一遍一遍请教同事，把进入软件的一步一步程序和重要步骤记到我的笔记本上，回到家好反复看，来增加记忆。向同行学习中作业。录入工作最主要的是点位录入准确；对应的编码要恰当选择；录入速度要快。以至于一、二检时能尽快交业务员手中复检，作相应的修改。这当中录入1：2000CAD图，信息密度大，眼睛看非常吃力；又是外单位采集的；字迹潦草。就这样的图，因为我刻苦的学习软件，使我录入的速度达到每天300点左右。……

做录入这项工作，我心中有许多的感慨：

⒈只有外业采集的人员回来做录入工作，才能把这项工作的点位拿捏的准，而且更专业。

⒉每个人对工作都应该保持一种勤奋向上，振奋有为的精神面貌,可以振奋自己，也可以感染周围的人。

⒊当面对挫折和困难时，不能失去自信，要时刻磨练自己；要有做强者的欲望。

10月15日，我又投入到了公交数字化地图工作。对公交电子化地图的软件由开始不熟练，到逐渐学习和掌握。又是对自己的挑战。刚开始画公交线路，不知道鼠标右键双击是结束这条线路。而画完没有结束就点击其它功能键，使得刚画完的公交线路整条重画。公交站点经常有遗漏现象。工作中使我懂得：做事情只要坚持做到两点，就能顺遂人意：一是用心要专一，不能三心二意；二是勤学苦练，熟能生巧。挑战与机遇并存。当挑战来临，机遇也随之道来。如没有我转岗以来的挑战，也不会给我带来学习新技术的机会。外业采集我从生手到掌握规律；超图软件我从没有接触到逐渐了解和运用。使我坚信：勤学似春起之苗，不见其增，日有所长。辍学如磨刀之石，不见其损，日有所亏。只要努力了，就会有收获。

“奥运”使我们兴奋，“奥运”创造机遇，只有站在前排的人才有机会。中心的奥运图集及将于2008年问世。我们为奥运做出的贡献是非常巨大的。尤其是我们外业采集的老同志们，克服天气的“潮湿”与“燥热”；“寒冷”与“干燥”。完成了一幅又一幅的数据采集任务。从没有怨言。……

08奥运年，中心计划培训Corel公司的优秀平面、矢量绘图软件CorelDRAW：它的特点功能强大，操作方便；应用广泛；图像显示精细、美观和其他附属功能。能更好地兼容其它软件，大大提高产品质量。对于CorelDRAW这套软件，新的挑战在等我超越；新的机遇再等我创新。机遇偏爱有准备的头脑。成功不是等来的，而是靠自己创造的。我期望制图中心在院“二次创业”的第二阶段的关键年获得生机，人丁兴旺。……

大家好!

当你对这只美丽的蝴蝶熟视无睹时，它也会知趣的飞到别人面前，而你就会因此而失去一次考验、一次成功，或者是你最宝贵的生命。

我曾经历过一件这样的事，我对那只蝴蝶不理不睬，我认为机遇是一件平常的事，不靠它也无大碍。那一次是班中选团员，老师叫我写一份申请书。可当时我正跟班上的团支书闹矛盾。她用绝对自信地语气说：“你有本事就别写申请书也别入团!”我也用绝对强硬的语气回答她：“不就是一份申请书吗?我不写照样入团!”于是当着她的面把那份申请书撕得粉碎。她目瞪口呆的看着我。我是逞了口舌之快，可我也失去了那次机会，失去了当团员的资格，以致于到现在还只是个少先队员。我因呕气而没有在乎这只蝴蝶，其实最终最无奈的不是团支书，不是蝴蝶，而是我。

当你不在乎机遇时，机遇一定不会光临你。但是，当你看重机遇时，机遇也不一定属于你。请记住，当你触到蝴蝶的翅时，不要手软，而要紧紧地把它握在手心。因为有时即使你抓住它，它也会从你的手心逃走。

记得有一次，学校举行演讲比赛，我班由民主选举，选出我和另外一个女孩。可只有一个名额，经过再度筛选，我顺理成章的代表班级参赛。这时候的我已经触到了蝴蝶的翅，可我以为自己已抓住了它就放松了警惕。

也许是上天不垂怜我，在我比赛的前一天下着大雨，而我是一个喜欢在雨中漫步的女孩，我固执地不打伞，享受着和雨亲密接触的感觉，结果第二天比赛时，我嗓子哑得一句话也说不出来，老师只好让那个女孩替代我比赛而结果无功而返。同学们都怨我不为班集体着想，我也很难过。

是啊!因为自己的固执，放走了那原本应属于自己的蝴蝶，留下的只有遗憾。

蝴蝶长了翅膀，它会飞。机遇也长了翅也会飞，当它飞到你面前时，不要犹豫，要紧紧地抓住它，不要让机遇从手中溜走，不要让自己留下任何遗憾。

一天晚上，我出了一道难题，尾巴上天了。我对卖瓜吹牛的奶奶说：“你看我，出了这么大的难题。”但是当我看到桌子上的语文书时，我想到了霍金。我立刻静了下来，对自己说：“我一定要挑战我的学习。”

hello, everyone .today i want to introduce one of my favourite novels. first let’s enjoy a video about it.

yes, this is the novel i’d like to introduce--.it is written by alice sebold, an american author. and in last year it was adapted（改编） into a movie by peter jackson, who is famous for his magic products—lord of rings. the movie is also very good.

after seeing the video, you may think this novel is frightening. i want to say ‘no, it’s not a horror fiction’. the novel tells about the thoughts of a murdered girl called susie after she was dead. she cannot forget her families and her lover .she stays in her own perfect world, watching their life. however, if the dead don’t forget the alive or don’t leave them for the heaven, people who are alive will not forget the sadness and cannot be cured by time.

somebody may think it’s a story about justice. but i want to say :’ no.’ at the end of the story , susie was able to come back to stay a few minutes with her boy .the last thing she want is only a kiss. she didn’t care about the punishment of the murder and just wish people all a long and happy life. that is what the novel wants to told us: love is always more important than hate. and ‘a family ,is like the bones all over one’s body .even though one piece breaks down and the others may feel sorry about it for some time , the dead are gone and the life is to be continued .

if u are in such a edge（边缘）of love and hate, hope and despair（绝望）.

what is your choice?

in a word, this is a moving novel that tells us the meaning of love and death. i believe when you read it, it can touch the softest corner of your heart.

once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: happiness, sadness, knowledge, and all of the others, including love.

很久以前，有一个岛屿，所有的感情生活：快乐，悲伤，知识，和所有其他人，包括爱情。

one day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. except for love.

一天，所有的情感听说小岛即将沉没，因此建造小船，纷纷离开，除了爱。

love was the only one who stayed. love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

爱是唯一留下来的，因为它希望能坚持到最后一刻。

when the island had almost sunk, love decided to ask for help.

当岛屿几乎沉没，爱决定请求帮助。

richnewas passing by love in a grand boat. love said,"richness, can you take me with you?"

富有驾着一艘大船从爱身边经过，爱说，“富有，你能带上我么?”

richneanswered, "no, i can't. there is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. there is no place here for you."

富有回答说：“不行，我的船上载满金银财宝，没有你的地方。”

love decided to ask vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "vanity, please help me!"

虚荣坐在漂亮的小船中从爱身边驶过，爱问：“虚荣，你能帮助我么?”

"i can't help you, love. you are all wet and might damage my boat," vanity answered.

虚荣说：“不行，你全身湿透，会弄脏我的船。”

sadnewas close by so love asked, "sadness, let me go with you."

悲伤的船靠近了，爱问：“悲伤，请带我走吧。”

"oh . . . love, i am so sad that i need to be by myself!"

“哦。。。爱，我太难过了，想一个人呆着。”

happinepassed by love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when love called her.

幸福经过爱的身边，它太开心了，根本没听见爱在呼唤。

suddenly, there was a voice, "come, love, i will take you." it was an elder. so blessed and over joyed, love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. when they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. realizing how much was owed the elder,

突然，一个声音喊道：“来，爱，我带你走。” 声音来自“年老”。爱太高兴了，甚至忘了问他们即将去何方。当他们来到岸上，年老自己离开了。爱突然意识到“年老”给了它多大的帮助。

love asked knowledge, another elder, "who helped me?"

于是，爱问另一位老者--知识：“谁帮助了我?”

"it was time," knowledge answered.

知识说：“是时间。”

"time?" asked love. "but why did time help me?"

“时间?”爱问：“但是时间为什么帮助我?”

knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "because only time is capable of understanding how valuable love is."

知识睿智地微笑道：“因为只有时间了解爱的价值。”
